About the Role

Job Summary:

The Dishwasher is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, kitchen equipment, and utensils to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety at Gridiron Gastropub, a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW).

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to established procedures and standards.

- Operate dishwashing machinery, including loading, running, and unloading the machine, ensuring that all items are cleaned and sanitized properly.

- Manually wash large pots, pans, and other items that cannot be accommodated in the dishwasher.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash as needed.

- Inspect dishes and cookware for cleanliness and damage, ensuring that only clean, undamaged items are returned to the kitchen or service area.

- Assist with the organization and storage of kitchen supplies, including clean dishes, cookware, and utensils.

- Monitor and maintain dishwashing equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen manager.

- Assist kitchen staff with tasks such as food prep, cleaning, and organization when dishwashing duties are completed or during slow periods.

- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring that the dishwashing area and equipment are always in compliance.

- Assist in the proper disposal of waste, recycling, and compostable materials, following the facility’s waste management procedures.

- Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff.

- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:

- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. 

- Minimum of 1 years’ restaurant experience, preferably within a kitchen.

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 

- Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary) is required.

- Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.

- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.  

- Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality. 

Physical Requirements for Position

- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

- The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.

- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.

- The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.

- The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.

- Must be able to hear, see, and speak.

- Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.

- Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties.

- Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.

- Must have reliable transportation to and from Hall of Fame Village
